Lankan Navy attacks TN fishermen, three injured

New Delhi: Three fisherman from Tamil Nadu were injured on Monday in a mid-sea attack as their boats were ransacked by the Sri Lankan Navy.

Lankan Navy personnel allegedly ransacked their boat and pushed the trio into the sea on charges of straying into Lankan territorial waters.
This is the third such attack on Indian fisherman to be reported this year.

External Affairs Minister SM Krishna is set to raise the issue with his Lankan counterpart G L Peiris on the sidelines of the ongoing SAARC summit in Thimphu on Monday.
