Coimbatore: In a set back to AIADMK chief Jayalalithaa's show of strength in Coimbatore this evening, her key ally, DMDK chief Vijaykanth, will not be attending her party's rally.
Actor-politician Vijaykanth's DMDK is contesting in 41 seats. Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu are scheduled for April 13.
The rally will be attended by CPM's Prakash Karat and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu. The DMDK will be represented by the party's presidium chairman Panruti Ramachandran.
