Chennai: Jayalalithaa has announced the names of her party's 160 candidates for the Tamil Nadu elections.
She will launch her campaign on Wednesday at Trichy.
She has also shared the list of 41 candidates from actor Vijayakanth's DMDK party.
Tamil Nadu votes for its next government on April 13.
This is the second list of candidates that Jayalalithaa has released for her party. Last week, her allies that included the Left threatened to exit the partnership after she released a list of 160 constituencies for her party. She had appropriated six constituencies which were won last time by the CPM. She finally acceded to the Left's demands and withdrew from 15 constituencies.
The MDMK, led by Vaiko, also quit the alliance after Jayalalithaa offered the party 12 seats against the 21 that Vaiko wanted. The MDMK has been one of Jayalalithaa's oldest partners, and Mr Vaiko was seen as a star campaigner.
